Dialer/CRM for insurance agents

You should use a dialer / CRM when making insurance sales.

Why use a dialer instead of your cell phone for calling on insurance leads?
  • If you use your cell phone, your cell phone Caller ID can get labeled Spam:  When you use your cell phone, you risk having your cell phone's Caller ID  get labeled Spam or Spam Likely or Possibly Spam.  All of these things will make it so that people you are trying to reach are less likely to answer.  Depending on their phone, their phone may not even ring, you could go straight to voicemail or even just get a message that the person you are calling isn't available.  
  • Using a dialer / CRM is faster and more efficient:  You will still hear the phone ring, you will hear them answer the phone, it sounds completely natural to you both.  You just click a button to dial, send a text message or leave a voicemail.  If they answer the phone, you just have a normal conversation.  The difference is, instead of being exhausted after making 100-200 calls a day on your cell phone, you can easily make 500-800 calls per day.
  • Your sales double or triple:  Let's say you have been working really hard for 8 hours a day and making 150 calls a day with your cell phone.  You probably talked to 10-20 people and hopefully made a sale.  When you use a dialer, you can make 500 calls a day, in 6-7 hours, talk to 30-70 people a day, and hopefully make 2-3 sales a day.  You have more opportunities to sell, in less time.
  • It's easier:  When you dial your cell phone, you have to briefly memorize the phone number and punch it into your cell phone.  With a dialer, you just click a button.  Manually sending a text or email to the people who don't answer takes perhaps a minute.  With a dialer/CRM you just click a button.
  • You close a higher percentage of your leads, lowering your cost per sale:  How many times are you going to call a lead manually before you give up?  Three times?  Five times?  With a dialer, it's easy enough to try them eight to twelve times, giving you more more opportunities to talk to each lead.
  • It's the cheapest, easiest way to increase your sales:  A dialer / CRM is consistently about $100-$150 per month per agent.  Even if your sales only doubled from $2,000 to $4,000 per month, that's $2,000 in additional sales from a $100-$150 investment.  Plus, the reduction in effort and stress is an additional benefit.
